Another 20

As mentioned in the last blog, some people seems to have strange luck with rolling dice. Some have better luck than others...as Jared reminds me of on a daily basis.

Anything But A One

Many gamers believe in their own form of kharma or luck. A single force that pushed them in a direction within the realms of their game, and if you attempt to do something against the will of this force bad things will happen.
Sometimes it is the ability to draw the right card combo in the game being played, or perhaps being lucky enough to pull an amazing card in a pack. With others like me, the force seems to just flat out say "NO".

Now, as many people who read this blog know (Because I seem to talk about it non-stop to my friends and ::whoever else::) I play a CCG (Collectible Card Game for those who are game illiterate) called Warlord: Saga of the Storm. This game has been around for 7 or so years now, and has gone up and down in popularity since its release. HOWEVER, recently the game has begun anew as it was passed into the hands (Well...rights to the game anyway) of a new company Phoenix Interactive.
Now this game is a bit different from most card games out there. Besides the unique Rank-And-File card arrangement that the game uses, it also requires the player roll one d20 (A die with 20 sides for the even less game adept) to determine whether or not they can hit their target.

ANYWAY....the point of this long winded explanation is that I cannot roll for shit. Honestly...even in situations where the odds of missing are 1 out of 20, I still cannot manage it. I am convinced that the universe just wishes for me to fail at this game so I may rot in a pit of my own self pity (Forgive me if that makes little sense, but it is 3:20 A.M.). Nothing can describe what I feel except for this completely true and realistic portrayal of my average Warlord game...

I'm sure someone out there can relate.

Needs More Gun

What ever happened to the days of good anime? I mean back when you wouldn't have a seizure every time you looked at the bright colors and ridiculous animation. Until that abomination known as Gundam Seed it was a fairly amazing series. Too bad...it seems that everything now revolves around new gen effects and infinite supplies of bullets.

Guitar Rage

Every now and then a new game is brought into existence that is so amazingly fun that it becomes an instant classic. When Guitar Hero came out I laughed as people would click those colorful buttons to match the notes with their fingers. I laughed as some took it so seriously that they lost hours of their days to it's catchy music and bright lights. I laughed, but then I bought it.

Now since the half a year I've had this game I have never gotten sick of it, and to this day I pledge to finish "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce on the hardest difficulty so I can claim my rightful place as Uber-GuitarHero Nerd of Bayonne. I am beginning to worry that day may never come...

If you do not own this game, buy it now. If you claim you are not hooked on it after playing, this does NOT make you cool. Conform dammit! You do not get points for being different on this one.

Inspiration

There you have it. The source of my amazing ideas and creations. Now...how 'bout that Super Bowl? Such an incredible and epic game with twists and turns that led into severe depression and insane rage, of which eventually changed to pure glory which was shared by all worshipers of the Giants. Too bad I don't care about football enough for this to matter. Really, I almost got my head ripped off for that. Crazy Giants fans....

At least the commercials were good this year. People began to cheer at the events of some.
